RAILWAY NEWS

Welcome to the Lancashire, Derbyshire & East Coast Railway Association 2006 website. We are an organisation that has been campaigning over the past 12 years to have rail passenger services re-instated between Mansfield and Tuxford via stations at Shirebrook, Warsop, Edwinstowe and Ollerton.

The last passenger services were halted in the early 1950s some 10 years ahead of the Beeching cull that shocked the nation in pointing rail freight and commuters, regretfully, onto Britain's roads.
